Afterword
How was [Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi X] as the conclusion of the second arc? The number of published volumes has finally reached the double digits. It’s all thanks to the unrelenting support of the readers that this work has become what it is today. I will do my best to create a worthy sequel in order to repay this feeling of gratitude.
I am very pleased that the environment surrounding the [Seikoku] series has grown hotter and hotter. First off, MF Bunko J’s tenth anniversary compilation album [Song J] was released in July. The album contains an image song for [Seikoku] called [Astral Flow]. The vocalist of the song is actually Shimotsuki Haruka-san! I’ve actually been a fan of hers for a long time. When I heard news from my editor that the lead singer would be Shimotsuki-san, I couldn’t help but feel excited. As for the lyrics and arrangement, that was entrusted to a well-known composer of Nico Nico Douga — Vocaloid P Inai Yuu-san. My acquaintance with Inai-san has been of great benefit to me. Incidentally, because one of my hobbies is playing music, I also secretly participated in the song writing process (laughs).
“This is the ultimate comicalisation!” — RAN-sensei’s superb drawing skills as captured in the third volume of the manga will go on sale at the same time as the tenth volume of the novel. Not only does the third volume of the manga perfectly capture the content of the second novel volume, it also includes a short story exclusive to the manga version. RAN-sensei accepted the author’s proposal and adapted it into a one-shot. I look forward to seeing what kind of reaction this will bring, and I also hope to have such an opportunity again. In addition, the serialisation in the monthly Comic Alive magazine has already reached the selective training camp and Lucca’s debut, so don’t miss out on it!
Moreover, a [Seikoku] drama CD has also been produced. In fact, I visited the recording studio at the end of August, and the performance of the impressive voice actor line-up made me thoroughly excited. Until now, I’d always had an uncertain and vague impression of each character’s voice, but I think I’ll have a clear impression of their voices going forward now. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the cast members who came to the recording studio despite their busy schedules, Groove Co., Ltd. as the sound management studio, and everyone from Media Factory’s Video Division.
I’m almost out of space. Editor Shoji-san provided many valuable suggestions while I was drafting this volume. I really appreciate it. I’m deeply grateful to Shimesaba Kohada-sensei. This is the third time that Eco has appeared on the cover, and it’s like I can see Eco’s growth from the first to the fifth and now the tenth volume. As the author, I’m deeply moved. Please continue to support me in the next and subsequent volumes. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the readers who have supported [Seikoku] and me as an author thus far.
Well then, let us meet again next time. The third arc will officially begin with the next volume!
